Natural Remedies For Whitening

  1. Oil Pulling
  2. Fruit Peel
  3. Strawberry
  4. The Bottom Line

In a survey conducted in 2015, it says that 82% of Americans believe that straight, white teeth can help you get ahead in life. That is why we are always on the lookout for something that can better whiten our teeth than just the regular toothpaste and toothbrush combo. With a wide array of teeth whitening products popping up on the market, some of us have growing concerns that these products may include chemicals that could have negative effects on our health. I can guess that some of you might suggest reading the labels and doing a bit of research. A very valid suggestion but do any of us really do that? If you are concerned about potentially harmful chemicals being present in your teeth whitening products, why not try natural teeth whitening methods?

Oil Pulling

Oil pulling involves using oil to rinse your mouth to remove stuck food debris. Traditionally, sesame or sunflower oil is used but coconut oil is becoming a popular choice because of its additional health benefits. It also does not contain any acid or other ingredients that will erode the enamel on your teeth so it’s safe for daily use.

Fruit Peel

For this method, you can use either a banana peel or an orange peel. The peel is rich in potassium and manganese which helps in recharging our teeth’s enamel. You only need to rub your teeth with the inside of the fruit peel before brushing your teeth. For the best results, you can do this twice a week.

Strawberry

Having problems with yellow teeth, coffee stains or wine stains? Try using strawberries to remove them. Strawberries contain malic acid which is great for removing teeth stains. To prepare this natural teeth whitener, crush or mash 3 to 4 strawberries and mix them with 1 spoon of baking soda. Use this mixture to brush your teeth with and don’t forget to floss after. Since this mixture contains acid, it is not recommended for daily use.

The Bottom Line

There are many commercial products that you can use to whiten your teeth but there are also many natural ways that can give you decent results. But how about a commercial product that is also all-natural? We already have that in AutoBrush’s Teeth Whitening Kit. It includes natural ingredients for teeth whitening that is quick and automatic. Give it a try and see the difference.
