How to choose the right Autobrush head size
Finding the right brush head size is key to having the best brushing experience. A brush that fits properly ensures comfort, better reach, and a more effective clean. In fact, about half of cleaning problems come from poor sizing. Getting the right fit is essential to achieving Autobrush’s exceptional clinical results at home.
We make it simple with two easy ways to find the right size.

Kid Sizing
Option 1: Age & Tooth Growth Sizing Guide
Our brush heads are designed for different growth stages and mouth sizes:

- Best for most 3-5 year olds

-

Kid Sizing Option 2: The Bread-Bite Test
Still unsure? Try this employee-recommended trick:
-
Grab a slice of bread
-
Bite down to leave an imprint of your teeth
-
Measure the width and height of the bite mark (using a floss)
-
Compare the size against our brush head dimensions above
This method helps you match the real size of your mouth with the right brush head.
Adult Sizing
Adult Small (49mm x 75mm)
- Same size as the 9-12 brush head
- Best for adults with smaller mouth arches, narrower jaws, or those who find Regular too large

- Provides full coverage for a wider arch
Adult XL (60mm x 92mm)

Signs You Have the Wrong Brush Head Size
1. Poor Fit in the Mouth
- The head feels either too loose or too cramped when you bite down gently
- You have to force it into place or it doesn’t seat naturally around both arches
- The bristles don’t make consistent contact with the teeth and gumline
2. Uneven or Incomplete Cleaning
- You notice plaque left behind, especially on the back molars or gumline, even when following the approved side-to-side + figure 8 motion
-
Certain teeth feel untouched or still “fuzzy” after brushing
3. Discomfort While Brushing
- Jaw strain from having to open too wide or not wide enough
- Pinching or rubbing on the gums, cheeks, or palate
- The brush head feels bulky, making the brushing technique awkward or impossible to do smoothly
5. Bite Pressure Problems
- You need to clamp down hard just to hold the brush in place
- Or, if you close gently as instructed, the head feels unstable and shifts around
- Either scenario prevents the brush from moving correctly and breaks the clinical technique
