Fluoride vs Nano-HAp

What is the difference between Fluoride and Nano-HAp?

Fluoride and Nano-Hydroxyapatite (Nano-HAp) both enhance dental health effectively. Fluoride is renowned for its ability to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities. Nano-HAp offers a similar benefit as a fluoride-free alternative, perfect for those who prefer it, and is especially safe for children who might swallow toothpaste.

Autobrush Brushing Technique

No Motion, No Results: Why the Right Autobrush Technique Matters

Autobrush is clinically proven to clean all your teeth at once, but it only works when used exactly as intended. Unlike a traditional manual brush (where many different techniques can be effective), Autobrush is designed around a specific brushing technique/motion. Following this technique is essential to replicate the results seen in clinical studies.

In fact, most reports of poor cleaning come down to incorrect use (usually holding the brush still, biting too hard, or skipping the motion altogether). The right technique = the right (clinically proven) results.

First: The #1 Mistake to Avoid

🚫✋Never use Autobrush hands-free.

Autobrush is not a “Roomba for your mouth.” If you simply bite down and wait, the bristles can’t sweep plaque away. This guarantees poor results and is not how the brush was tested in clinical studies.

Autobrush must always be guided with motion.

The Correct Autobrush Technique

Watch Dr. Younan demonstrate the correct brushing technique in this quick video:

When using Autobrush, follow this technique used in clinical studies every time:

1. Keep the brush moving.

  • Side-to-Side Motion: Gently move the brush as if shaking your head “no.” This sweeps bristles across each tooth surface.
  • Figure 8 Motion: A slow, looping jaw movement that helps bristles wrap around the gumline and reach back molars (the most common trouble spots).

2. Bite gently, never firmly.

  • Light pressure is enough to keep the brush in place.
  • If you bite down fully, you lock the head in place, stop the motion, and prevent the bristles from reaching all surfaces.

Signs You’re Using Autobrush Incorrectly

  • The brush feels static or “stuck” when in use.
  • You clamp down tightly just to hold it in place.
  • Some teeth still feel “fuzzy” after brushing.
  • Plaque or buildup is visible along the gumline, especially near molars.

If any of these sound familiar, adjust your technique right away.

Why This Matters

This is the technique used in our clinical studies - and the only method that has been shown to produce these results:

  • Up to 5.1x better whole-mouth clean in just ¼ the time
  • Up to 8.7x better plaque removal along the gumline
  • Up to 82% better plaque removal from hard-to-reach spaces

Toothy Tip: Practice Makes Perfect

It may feel unusual at first, but most users adjust within 2–3 sessions. For kids, modelling the motion yourself and using the built-in music can help turn brushing into something fun.

By guiding the brush with side-to-side and figure 8 motions (while biting gently), you’ll unlock the full benefits of Autobrush’s clinically studied design.
