Fluoride vs Nano-HAp

What is the difference between Fluoride and Nano-HAp?

Fluoride and Nano-Hydroxyapatite (Nano-HAp) both enhance dental health effectively. Fluoride is renowned for its ability to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities. Nano-HAp offers a similar benefit as a fluoride-free alternative, perfect for those who prefer it, and is especially safe for children who might swallow toothpaste.

Teaching Your Child to Spit

Teaching Your Child to Spit

As parents, we understand the importance of instilling good oral hygiene habits in our children from a young age. One essential skill for kids to learn is how to spit out toothpaste after brushing. This not only helps prevent swallowing toothpaste but also sets the foundation for a lifetime of proper dental care. In this guide, we’ll share some fun and effective techniques to teach your child to spit, and how autobrush’s Foaming Toothpaste can make the process easier and more enjoyable.

Why Teaching Your Child to Spit is Important

Learning to spit is a crucial step in a child’s dental routine. Swallowing too much toothpaste can lead to ingestion of excess fluoride, which can cause dental fluorosis (white spots on teeth) and an upset stomach. Encouraging your child to spit out toothpaste helps them understand the importance of rinsing their mouth and maintaining oral hygiene.

Fun Techniques to Teach Spitting

1. Make It a Game: Turn spitting into a fun game. Use a target like a colorful sticker in the sink or a small cup and challenge your child to hit the target. Praise their efforts and make it a playful competition.

2. Blow Bubbles: Start by teaching your child to blow bubbles with water. This helps them understand the action of pushing liquid out of their mouth. Gradually transition from water to a small amount of toothpaste foam.

3. Mirror Play: Let your child watch themselves in the mirror while practicing spitting. This visual feedback can be very effective. They’ll enjoy making faces and watching the foam come out.

4. Practice with Numbers: Kids have started to learn some simple numbers like 1, 2, 3. Have your child practice saying “two!” This allows the mouth to form the right shape naturally for the spit to happen. For train lovers, you can also make them go “Choo Choo choooo!” It works just the same and adds an element of fun.
